Event Overview

Our goal at Detroit United is to prepare you for the next level - athletically, academically, personally while providing opportunity for athletes that have been systematically left of the sport of lacrosse. In 2021, 84% of women’s college lacrosse players identify as White – with only 3.5% identified as Black. Detroit United Lacrosse is dedicated to closing the participation gap by providing pathways to progress in the sport. Athletes participate in elite lacrosse training with lacrosse players who are rising freshman in high school to rising freshman in college, engage in service learning opportunities, and get assistance with college recruiting.

Get seen by college coaches at top level tournaments across Michigan. Open to class of 2035-2026. We have openings for the following teams this year:

- Youth (2nd - 5th, no experience required)
- Middle School (6th-8th, no experience required)
- Junior Varsity (by skill, no experience required)
- Varsity (by skill, some experience required)

Practice time: 6-8pm
Location: University of Detroit Mercy

Practices are the foundation of the Detroit United Panthers program. Every session is intentionally designed to develop athletes at every level, meeting them where they are and pushing them toward what they can become. Whether an athlete is brand new to the game or already experienced, our focus is on building skills, confidence, and a deep understanding of the game.

While many club programs emphasize tournament weekends, we believe true growth happens in practice. Development is our number one priority, and we are committed to providing high-quality instruction that prepares our athletes not just to compete, but to continually improve and reach the next level.
