Welcome to Iowa Youth Lacrosse! As a foundational program, we are dedicated to introducing lacrosse to new communities while fostering local pride and engagement. Our mission is to align the level of play with each community's identity, making the sport more accesible to all. Structure

We are introducing local lacrosse to the Dubuque area for the first time, making the sport more accessible than ever. Unlike past travel-only options, our program prioritizes bringing teams closer to home, reducing travel while keeping the focus on player development and community engagement.

For the 2025 Spring Season, we will support the creation of the following teams:
 

• Boys: 10U (Ages 7-10 on or before 9/1/25)
• Boys 12U (Ages 10-12 on or before 9/1/2025)
• Boys: Middle School (Ages 12-14 on or before 9/1/25)
• Girls: 10U (Ages 7-10 on or before 9/1/25)
• Girls: 14U (Ages 11-14 on or before 9/1/25)

We will organize registered players based on the structure above, prioritizing hometown alignment whenever possible. Our goal is to quickly establish teams at every age level representing every nearby city. This year, we are focusing on expanding into the following new communities:

• Dubuque, IA

• Platteville, WI

• Galena, IL

• Epoworth, IA

• Peosta, IA

• + More

Schedule

The season will run Tuesdays and Thursdays April 8 – June 5, 2025 with 6-10 games per team. Starting April 15 we will also be adding a Monday practice for those unable to make either Tuesday or Thursday practices.

Games

We will release detailed schedules at the beginning of the season. Our youngest athletes (7-12) will play local while numbers will determine whether our older athletes (13+) will play fully local or with travel to Cedar Rapids, Meskwaki, and/or the Quad Cities.
 

Practice

Practice will start in the second week of April, immediately following the conclusion of our free clinics. Teams will practice locally throughout the Driftless Region or, if preferred, combine for central practices in Dubuque based on parent input.
 

Cost

$100 per player + $35 USA Lacrosse membership (covers insurance & other perks paid once yearly). Registration can be completed for multiple athletes simultaneously.  Fees cover practice and game locations, officials, team uniforms, and other team equipment costs. We never want cost to be a limiting factor, so please reach out for available scholarships if needed. For individual equipment, see below. 

Equipment

We will have limited new and used gear available for rental as well as the ability to bulk order additional gear at a discount. Season gear rental will cost $100 for boys. Girls have less equipment needs but we can rent or loan as needed.
