Event Overview
HBHS Girls Lacrosse Summer Camp is 3 days per week (T, W, Th), 3 - 5pm, for 4 weeks, starting Tuesday 7/14 - Thur Aug 6.
If you are new to our program:
****This registration system is part of USA Lacrosse.
For new USA Lacrosse members, "Age Verification" will need to be complete before registering (one time for your entire carreer). This is done in your account under "my household users". Select the player account, click the pencil box icon to edit their account and scroll down to "Age Verification - edit age verification". Submit one of the documents (birth certificate, passport, or driver's license) listed and then USA Lacrosse will quickly approve the verification during business hours. Then you will be able to register for the camp.
For almost everything you do with lacrosse, you will need an annual USA Lacrosse membership. If you need to become a member, it will guide you on how to do this and redirect you back to the registration page. If you need to renew membership to be current through the season, this will automatically happen during this registration and the member fee will be added to the total. If you are a current USA Lacrosse member, you will not be prompted to pay your membership fee again at this time.
If you are new to our program:
- All off season camps, clinics, leagues, tournaments, etc. are run through OC Lacrosse (Valkyrie).
- Lacrosse is a Spring Season sport. However, 6th period lacrosse pe is offered in the fall and winter.
- In season lacrosse practices are typically 2 -4pm for JV and Varsity and 7 - 9pm for Frosh. Off season lacrosse PE may vary in time.
- A stick and goggles can be borrowed for camp. Please email me if you need to borrow these items (hboilersgirlslax@gmail.com).
- If you are ready to purchase goggles, any will work. Fitting is most important. Dick's Sporting Goods may have some options. Lacrosse Monkey (in Irvine) has the most options. It could be worth going to try them all on before purchasing.
-
If you are ready to purchase a stick:
- Do not purchase a "beginner" stick.
- This is a good starter stick that your player can grow with for 1-2 years, https://stx.com/products/crux-400-complete-stick
- This is a top of the line stick (I wouldn't go for middle of the road once the player is past the starter stick recommended above), Gait Apex 2
- Footwear can be any type of cleat except softball spikes.
- Normal athletic wear (soccer, basketball, flag, etc.).
- You will need a mouthguard. A cheap one is fine. If you are willing to spend $25 - 30, I recommend, https://www.sisuguard.com/
