HYL is offering Girls Lacrosse for Middle School girls in grades 5th-7th for the Spring 2025 Season (girls lacrosse teams consider 5th grade as part of their "junior middle school" age group).

We are still finalizing the practice schedule, but expect to have practices on multiple days per week starting February 3rd. All practices will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J.P. Moseley Park (Stockbridge). Practice days will include Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. We will finalize the practice schedule in advance for the season and update the calendar in the app we use to communicate with parents the first week of the season. 

Competition
The Girls Middle School team will compete in a full-field, 12v12 format vs. other programs from around the Metro Atlanta Area. Our coaching staff will schedule these games over the course of the next few weeks and will update the game schedule as games are confirmed. This process takes a few weeks - thank you for your patience as we work to put the schedule together. 

In order to play 12v12 lacrosse, we need at least 15 players on our roster. We expect to have at least 15 players register for the team. In the event we do not have 15 players register, we will offer parents the choice of a full refund or the option to participate in an alternative skills development program (two sessions per week) at a discount (typically half the current registration amount). Please encourage other girls to register - we want to play games!

Uniforms
HYL uses the same uniforms each season. Returning players who have a uniform do not need to purchase a new one (unless they need different sizes). New players need to purchase a uniform. Uniforms are $55 and include a reversible game jersey and girls lacrosse skirt. New players will also receive a reversible practice jersey at no additional cost. Uniform fees are due when the order arrives - typically three weeks after practice starts. 

Required Equipment
Girls are required to have a girls lacrosse stick, goggles, mouthguard, and cleats to play (lacrosse or soccer cleats are fine). Girls should also bring their practice jersey and their own water to practice. Coaches will review this information - including what to buy/where to buy - with players at their first practice(s). Loaner sticks will be available at practice until all players are fully-equipped.
