Event Overview

This program is designed for injury prevention and building a solid foundation of athleticism in the female athlete. By paying particular attention to the ankles, knees, and hips, they will improve their ability for multi-directional force absorption and power production. This will help decrease the chance of non-contact injuries of the knee and ankle that are among the highest injuries for the female athlete. We will be building strength in the muscles around these joint to become as resilient as possible. Following the program, the athlete will be able to translate the speed, agility, and explosiveness built in the gym to sport-specific movements on the field.

Class is taught by Greg Johnson, DPT

"Originally from Washington, I earned an Exercise Science degree from Eastern
Washington University before moving to Kalispell, MT. I began personal training and sought further education by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Continuing my passion for learning and helping others achieve their maximum potential, I completed the doctorate program in Physical Therapy at the University of Montana. I have been a Physical Therapist since 2017 and now practice at Mountain Physical Therapy in Kalispell. My wife, Sarah, is an ICU nurse at Logan and we have 3 children – Kelton (11), Kade (8), and Kolby (4). I’ve enjoyed helping coach and watching them build their skills in basketball and wrestling."

Class runs on the following schedule to maximize repetitions prior to the season beginning. Once season practices begin, research shows that the goal should be to maintain training 1x per week.
