Event Overview

Fall 2025 • Boys Middle School Lacrosse (6th – 8th Grade)

New this fall, HYL is launching a middle-school boys league built around the fast-paced “Olympic Sixes” format that will debut at the 2028 Summer Games. Sixes is 6-on-6 (including goalies), played on a smaller field with streamlined rules—perfect for developing stick skills, conditioning, and lacrosse IQ.

SEASON SNAPSHOT

Key Details At-a-Glance
Teams & Rosters 3 team minimum • 10-12 players per team; players will be divided to keep teams fair/competitive.
Game Days Saturday afternoons, Sept 6 – Nov 1
(no games during breaks or holidays)
Regular-Season Games Minimum 8 - may vary based on # of players/teams
Playoffs Semifinals & Championship on Nov 1 (end of season)
Practices 2 per week, weeknights after 6 p.m. (set by coaches TBD) 
Conflicts Avoided Scheduled around MS football, XC and other popular fall activities (as much as possible). No pracitces/games on Wed/Thu nights or Saturday morning.

Fees & Inclusions

  • League Fee – covers field time, refs, coaching, supplies, and a reversible game pinnie (jersey).

  • USA Lacrosse Membership – required for insurance. If your player’s annual membership ($35) is current through Nov 2025, no additional fee applies; otherwise you can purchase/renew during checkout.

Refunds

  • ​​​​​Cancel by Aug 1 - 100%

  • Cancel Aug 2–15 - 50%

  • After Aug 15 - No Refunds

  • Helmet • Shoulder Pads • Arm Pads • Gloves

  • Mouthguard • Protective Cup • Lacrosse Stick

  • Cleats (football, soccer, or lacrosse)
