Event Overview
The boys' fall ball season runs from Monday, October 13th through Wednesday, November 19th.
Do I need to have an active USA Lacrosse Membership?
Yes. The USA Lacrosse Membership provides insurance for the league. You only need to purchase this once a year (so if you purchase this fall, it will still be good for the spring season). You will be prompted to sign up for a USA Lacrosse Membership (if you don't already have one) when you complete your fall ball registration.
Do you need coaches?
I will be assisted by members of the high school boys' lacrosse team; however, we are always looking for more volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, please respond to this email and let me know.
Do I need to commit to the full 6 weeks?
No. We price the fall season so that it makes sense even if players must wrap up another fall sport, like soccer or football, before participating.
Are there games?
There will be intersquad scrimmages during practice; however, there are no games vs. other programs during the fall season. Depending on the number of kids in each age group, I may try to put together a scrimmage (also depends on interest).
What if I have never played before?
The fall season is the perfect season to give lacrosse a try! All experience levels are welcome.
What do I need to know about the 3-5-year-old age group?
This is our first year offering fall ball for this age group and it's open to BOTH girls and boys. You don't need any equipment. We will be playing with foam lacrosse sticks that the coaches will make available at practice. This age group will only practice ONCE per week for 45 minutes (Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:15). This age group usually requires more parent involvement.
May I borrow equipment?
Yes. Please complete this form if you need to borrow equipment. Remember, players must provide their own mouth guards and protective cups. Important: The 3-5 year old age group requires no equipment so do not complete the form if you're a part of that age group (we will be using foam lacrosse sticks that will be available at practice).

Is there a girls' fall ball season?
Yes, but their season is nearly over. However, the 3-5-year-old age group is co-ed (see details above).
Lexington Lacrosse (LexLax) is a nonprofit organization intended to promote the game of lacrosse in our community of Lexington, Va. The program supports teams in 14U, 11U and 9U for girls and 14U, 12U, 10U and 8U for boys. We are also running a co-ed 6U team this fall. Our registration includes a loan of free equipment for any child that requires it – including a stick. Equipment must be returned following the season.
- Ages 6+ will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
- Ages 3-5 (boys and girls) will practice only on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:15 p.m. (see important details below about this age group)
