Welcome to the 2025 Lacrosse Season: Continuing the Growth of Wichita Warbirds Lacrosse!

A STRONG FOUNDATION
Last year marked a monumental shift for lacrosse in Wichita with the formation of the Wichita Youth Lacrosse Association (WYLA) and the adoption of our new identity as the Wichita Warbirds. We laid the groundwork for a brighter future, complete with an Executive Board overseeing operations and certified USA Lacrosse coaches bringing top-notch expertise to our players.

A HOME FOR OUR GROWTH
In 2024, we made a big leap forward by securing access to the turf fields at the South YMCA Farha Center, providing our players with a consistent and high-quality environment for practices and games, regardless of weather, by utilizing both indoor and outdoor fields.  The response from players and families was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to continue using this excellent facility in 2025.

This year, we’re building on that foundation with plans for even more field access. These expanded options will allow us to better accommodate our growing program and ensure our players have the best possible environment to develop their skills and enjoy the game.

GIRLS LACROSSE TAKES FLIGHT
Last year, we launched our first-ever all-girls lacrosse program, and it was a resounding success! The passion, determination, and growth shown by our female players were inspiring, and we’re excited to build on that momentum this year.

In 2025, we aim to expand the girls' program even further. Whether you’re returning or new to the game, now is the perfect time to pick up a stick and join the Warbirds family. Lacrosse is for everyone, and we’re here to support you on your journey to greatness.

A LEGACY CONTINUES
In the winter of 2023, we rebranded from Spartan Lacrosse to Wichita Warbirds, embracing our city’s legacy as the Air Capital of the World and honoring the grit, integrity, and passion of those who built this community. The name Warbirds represents the spirit of Wichita—a city that has always risen to the occasion, just like our athletes on the field.

This year, we’re not just maintaining that legacy; we’re growing it. With increasing participation and interest across all age groups, the Warbirds are poised to soar even higher in 2025.
