Youth Field Lacrosse

CD East Jr Lacrosse strives to field teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups. All age groups wear full protective equipment to ensure the safety of the players. 8U and 10U players play on a smaller field which provides the players with more opportunities to practice scooping, passing, and shooting. 12U and 14U players play on a full size field and follow most of the rules they'll follow at the high school level.

Sixes Lacrosse

Sixes is a new form of lacrosse that provides players with a faster game on a shorter field with less players than traditional Field Lacrosse. As the name implies, each team plays with a goalie and 5 runners. Sixes also only utilizes faceoffs to start a quarter or half. When a goal is scored, the game restarts once the goalie picks the ball up. Sixes will be featured at the 2026 Olympic Games. Box Lacrosse

Box Lacrosse is a form of lacrosse primarily played indoors on a field similar to a hockey rink (minus the ice). Like Sixes, a each team uses 5 runners and a goalie. Unlike field lacrosse, the goals are much smaller and the goalie wears padding similar to a hockey goalie. This version of lacrosse is fast and physical and provides players the opportunity to improve their passing, catching, and off-ball movement skills.
