Boys Teams
8U & 10U- These levels are considered developmental with the focus being directed to developing solid fundamentals, player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. A player must be 5 years old and meet the cut-off birthdate of August 31st. to play. Waivers can be obtained for younger players under the discretion of YCLA, not Warrior Lacrosse Club. Games are 7v7 and played on a mini field in these age divisions.
12U & 14U- These levels are considered developmental & competitive with the focus being directed to building onto the solid fundamentals, expanding player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. These divisions are open to new and experienced players. Players will learn skills to build on their existing lacrosse knowledge and prepare for high school-level lacrosse play. Players in the 14U division can play no matter the maximum age as long as they are still in the 8th grade. Games are played 10v10 on a full-size field.
Equipment: Players are responsible for providing all of their equipment. This includes all pads and a helmet. Information about the required equipment can be found at the link below.
Practices & Games: Practices usually begin in late February/Early March and run through May. All teams practice twice a week at Miller Park. Practices are in the evenings and times are picked by the head coach. Practice days and times will be announced at Meet the Coach Night and by email.
Games are scheduled for Saturdays and/or Sundays starting towards the middle of March in the York County Area and finishing around the middle of May. Our home field location is Miller Park or Susquehannock High School Turf. Games may be played at other fields throughout York County. The teams may play in an optional tournament(s) in late May.
