Girls Teams
K-2nd: This level is considered developmental clinic style with the focus being directed to developing solid fundamentals, player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. A player must be 5 years old and meet the cut-off birthdate of August 31st. for kindergarten to play. Games are 7v7, shorter in length, and played on a mini field.
2nd-4th: This level is considered developmental with the focus being directed to developing solid fundamentals, player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. Games are 8v8 and played on a mini field. 2nd graders who have played before may play in this division. New 2nd grader players will be allowed to play in this division depending on roster numbers.
5th-6th: This level is considered developmental & competitive with the focus being directed at building onto the solid fundamentals, expanding player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. This division is open to new and experienced players. Players will learn skills to build on their existing lacrosse knowledge. Games are 12v12 on a full-sized field.
7th-8th: This level is considered developmental & competitive with the focus being directed at building onto the solid fundamentals, expanding player/parent education, and providing an enjoyable experience for every player on the roster. This division is open to new and experienced players. Players will learn skills to build on their existing lacrosse knowledge and prepare for high school-level lacrosse play. Games are 12v12 on a full-sized field.
Equipment: Players are responsible for providing all of their equipment. Information about the required equipment can be found at the link below.
Practices & Games: Practices usually begin in late February/Early March and run through May. All teams practice at Shrewsbury Elementary School. K-2nd practice once a week and all other teams practice twice a week. Practices are in the evenings and times are picked by the head coach. Practice days and times will be announced at Meet the Coach Night and by email.
Games are scheduled for Sundays starting towards the middle of March in the York County Area and finishing around the middle of May. Our home field location is Shrewsbury Elementary or Susquehannock High School Turf. Games may be played at other fields throughout York County. The teams may play in an optional tournament(s) in late May.
